Sometimes technology can be really annoying and then somedays like today you can be torn. Example, do I answer he text that says, "hey wanna walk this morning" or do I answer the text honestly and say "i'd rather go back to bed, but thanks for asking"......nope, you buck up and say "sure!" even though the wind is 30mph outta the north and you have to wear gloves and your nose runs while your walking and your lips chap and your ears are frozen........ why, cuz you know you'd regret not doing it by the end of the day after chinese food with your husband at lunch and runza with the kids that night:(
Looks, like I'm answering texts tomorrow too....Thanks Robyn;)

Fun Size
It's amazing how the little habits that we created over the years come as natural as taking a breath. I notice this as I walk by the table where my kids have their "spread" from Halloween. I grab a "fun size" snickers and pop it in my mouth without thinking twice.
I on the other hand do not find my size fun, the opposite is true of that. Nor do I think that 20 fun size candy bars gulped down is fun either. I hate that feeling you get after you have engulfed an entire bag of something.
It takes alot to retrain my brain to realize that fun size to me is feeling good about how I look, and if anyone knows me I'm stubborn (very stubborn) especially when it comes to my eating habits. Growing up I was the girl who could eat anything and not put on an ounce....well, I'm not 17 anymore (by a few years). So I'm thankful ,well I try to be, for a husband who holds me accountable whether it's exercise or food. Surprisingly enough I get defensive about what I eat or if I worked out.....but, that's price you pay when you ask people to hold you accountable.
Thank you God for giving me a husband who supports me and wants to be "fun size" right along with me:)
BTW~I had a great walk outside today! And only had one fun size candy bar...not 20:)

Excuses excuses......
I have yet to get on that dreaded treadmill! My excuse for today, the tv is broken downstairs and how will I ever get through 30 mins of walking (I don't run) without something to watch!?? I'm old and uncooridinated so reading is a recipe for disaster, although for my families entertainment I could plug in my Mp3 player and belt out my large collection of 80's rock.
I will make it to the treamill today (maybe tonight)...all it takes is convincing my 16 year old son to help me take a tv off of a wall and move it to another room....something I'm sure my husband is really wishing he was home to do. All this will come after the house is cleaned (we all know how well that goes for me), grocery store (something to eat besides Halloween candy, and yes we have 3 buckets full at my house), voting, homework, supper, bedtime and who knows what else. See, excuses.....
So, if this Big girls small dreams are gonna come true I better get going and stop making excuses!

Bye bye black (eventually)
I realized, as I was sitting here creating my new blog to inspire myself to lose weight, that I was being swallowed up by empty Halloween candy wrappers. Who in their right mind (no comments from the peanut gallery) would start a weight loss journey the day after trick or treating with 5 kids?!
Well, when you have 45lbs to lose you have to start sometime! Besides, I'm pretty sure that my husband is going to stop believing me when I say "maybe if we move the treadmill here I will use it more" (actually just use it)
A friend of mine inspired me with the start of her blog and I thought....sure, why not:)
I think the people closest to me and some farther away would agree that my favorite clothing consists of black t-shirt's, black track pants, black sweatshirts and on game day a splash of RED.....Goooo Huskers!! :)
I figured, if anything, that I would feel better.
So I have decided that my goal for November will be *gulp* 5lbs.....yes, I know, it seems like such a small number compared to 45 but I know if I keep thinking about that HUGE number I will fall miserably into another huge pile of Halloween candy.
So, here I go...........
