I realized, as I was sitting here creating my new blog to inspire myself to lose weight, that I was being swallowed up by empty Halloween candy wrappers. Who in their right mind (no comments from the peanut gallery) would start a weight loss journey the day after trick or treating with 5 kids?!
Well, when you have 45lbs to lose you have to start sometime! Besides, I'm pretty sure that my husband is going to stop believing me when I say "maybe if we move the treadmill here I will use it more" (actually just use it)
A friend of mine inspired me with the start of her blog and I thought....sure, why not:)
I think the people closest to me and some farther away would agree that my favorite clothing consists of black t-shirt's, black track pants, black sweatshirts and on game day a splash of RED.....Goooo Huskers!! :)
I figured, if anything, that I would feel better.
So I have decided that my goal for November will be *gulp* 5lbs.....yes, I know, it seems like such a small number compared to 45 but I know if I keep thinking about that HUGE number I will fall miserably into another huge pile of Halloween candy.
So, here I go...........
Yay! This is awesome! BTW, I am still trying to find someone (hint, hint) to commit to the run/walk with me......
ReplyDeleteUgh, lemme lose 10lbs first lady, lol
ReplyDeleteWay to go JoBeth! I need to start this journey again too. With the holidays coming up and crappy Nebraska winter weather, it is easy to just let it slide. Good for you to take it on now and get on the right path.
ReplyDeletewish i had a portable treadmill!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!! I sooooo miss our group walks! Maybe again when spring hits... until then - you go girl!!
ReplyDeleteJoBeth- the run/walk is how you LOSE the 10 lbs., lol!
ReplyDeleteRock on JB! It doesn't matter what the weather is like, how much sleep you got the night before, how out of shape you feel (insert more excuses here ...) just get moving!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I wasn't going to exercise today because it sounds like the little one won't be napping, but you just inspired me to find a workout that I can do while she's awake. One where she can't get hurt of course ... I can't use the treadmill while she's awake cuz the little booger wants to crawl on it. Blah, blah, blah I ramble on .... LET'S DO THIS! :)
